Uploading Videos

This guide covers how to upload review videos for client feedback in MyStudio.

Video Sources

MyStudio supports three video sources:

Accessing Video Upload

  1. Open the project
  2. Go to Review Videos tab
  3. Click Upload Video

Upload Video Dialog

Uploading from Vimeo

Step 1: Select Vimeo Tab

Click the Vimeo tab in the upload dialog.

Step 2: Paste Video URL

Enter your Vimeo video URL:

Step 3: Enter Details

  • Name: Version name (e.g., "First Draft", "Rev 2")
  • Description: Optional notes about this version

Step 4: Upload

Click Upload to add the video.

Vimeo Requirements

  • Video must be accessible (not private to only you)
  • Recommended: Set to "Hide from Vimeo" for client-only access
  • Vimeo Pro/Business recommended for privacy settings

Uploading from YouTube

Step 1: Select YouTube Tab

Click the YouTube tab in the upload dialog.

Step 2: Paste Video URL

Enter your YouTube video URL:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID

or

https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID

Step 3: Enter Details

  • Name: Version name
  • Description: Optional notes

Step 4: Upload

Click Upload to add the video.

YouTube Requirements

  • Video must be Public or Unlisted
  • Private videos won't work
  • Unlisted recommended for client-only viewing

Uploading to Bunny Stream

Step 1: Select Upload Tab

Click the Upload tab for direct file upload.

Step 2: Select File

  • Click to browse or drag and drop
  • Supported formats: MP4, MOV, WebM
  • Maximum file size depends on your plan

Step 3: Enter Details

  • Name: Version name
  • Description: Optional notes

Step 4: Wait for Processing

  • Upload progress bar shows status
  • Video is transcoded to multiple qualities
  • Available once processing completes

Version Management

Version Naming

Use clear, consistent names:

  • "First Draft"
  • "Revision 1"
  • "Client Feedback Applied"
  • "Final Cut"
  • "Final - Approved"

Version Order

Newest versions appear first. Clients can access all versions.

Replacing a Version

To replace a video:

  1. Delete the incorrect version
  2. Upload the correct file
  3. Use the same name for continuity

After Uploading

Notify Client

  1. Status changes to "In Review"
  2. Client receives notification
  3. Video appears in their Review Videos tab

Verify Upload

  1. Play the video to confirm
  2. Check audio and video quality
  3. Verify correct version was uploaded

Client Review Process

Once uploaded:

  1. Client watches and comments
  2. Comments appear with timecodes
  3. Client approves or requests revisions
  4. You upload new version if needed

Managing Uploaded Videos

Viewing All Versions

All uploaded versions are listed in chronological order.

Deleting a Version

  1. Click the version
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm deletion

WARNING

Deleted videos cannot be recovered. Make sure you have backups.

Video Settings

For each video, you can:

  • Edit name and description
  • View comment count
  • Check approval status

Create shareable links for external reviewers:

  1. Click Share on a video
  2. Configure options:
    • Allow comments (yes/no)
    • Expiration date
    • Password protection
  3. Copy and share the link

Troubleshooting

Video Won't Play

  1. Check the source URL is valid
  2. Verify video privacy settings
  3. Ensure video isn't processing
  4. Try a different browser

Upload Fails

  1. Check file size limits
  2. Verify file format is supported
  3. Check internet connection
  4. Try smaller file or different format

YouTube Video Not Working

  • Ensure video is Public or Unlisted
  • Check for region restrictions
  • Verify embedding is enabled

Vimeo Video Not Working

  • Check Vimeo privacy settings
  • Ensure "Allow embedding" is enabled
  • Verify video is fully processed

Best Practices

Before Uploading

  • Review video quality
  • Check audio levels
  • Verify correct version

Naming Convention

  • Include version number
  • Note what changed
  • Date stamp if helpful

Communication

  • Add description with changes made
  • Respond to comments promptly
  • Keep client informed of progress
