Notifications
Stay informed about your projects with MyStudio's notification system. This guide covers how notifications work and how to manage them.
Notification Types
You'll receive notifications for important project events:

| Quote Ready | A quote is ready for your review |
| Payment Required | Invoice is pending payment |
| Filming Reminder | Upcoming filming date |
| Video Ready | New video uploaded for review |
| Revision Uploaded | Updated version available |
| Comment Added | Someone commented on your project |
| Quote Approved/Rejected | Quote status changed |
| Video Approved | Video was approved |
| Final Invoice Ready | Final payment due |
Accessing Notifications
In-App Notifications
Bell Icon
Click the bell icon in the top navigation to see:
- Recent notifications
- Unread count (red badge)
- Quick links to related items
Notifications Page
Click View All or navigate to the Notifications page for:
- Complete notification history
- Filtering options
- Bulk actions
Email Notifications
Important notifications are also sent to your email:
- Same content as in-app
- Links directly to the relevant item
- Unsubscribe options
Reading Notifications
Mark as Read
Notifications are automatically marked as read when you:
- Click on them
- View the related item
- Click "Mark as Read"
Mark All as Read
Click Mark All as Read to clear all unread notifications at once.
Notification Settings
Customize which notifications you receive:
Access Notification Settings
- Click your profile avatar
- Select Settings
- Go to Notifications tab
Configurable Notifications

| Project Confirmation | New project submissions |
| Quote Ready | When quotes are submitted |
| Video Ready | When videos are uploaded for review |
| Review Comments | Comments on your videos |
| Invoice Ready | When invoices are generated |
Email Preferences
For each notification type, choose:
- In-app only - See in MyStudio only
- Email + In-app - Both methods
- Off - Disable completely
Important Notifications
Some critical notifications (like payment reminders) cannot be fully disabled for compliance reasons.
Filtering Notifications
Filter by Type
- All notifications
- Unread only
- By category (Quotes, Videos, Comments, etc.)
Filter by Date
- Today
- This week
- This month
- Custom range
Filter by Project
Select a specific project to see only its notifications.
Acting on Notifications
Quick Actions
Many notifications include action buttons:
- View Quote - Go directly to the quote
- Watch Video - Open the video player
- Reply - Respond to a comment
- Pay Now - Go to invoice payment
Navigation
Click any notification to go to the related item:
- Quote notifications → Quotes tab
- Video notifications → Review Videos tab
- Comment notifications → Comments section
Real-Time Updates
Notifications appear in real-time:
- No need to refresh the page
- Bell icon updates automatically
- Sound alert (if enabled)
Notification History
All notifications are saved in your history:
- Scroll back through old notifications
- Search notification content
- Never miss important updates
Digest Emails
What Are Digest Emails?
Instead of individual emails, receive a summary:
- Daily or weekly digest options
- Groups notifications by project
- Reduces email volume
Configuring Digests
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- Enable Email Digest
- Choose frequency (daily/weekly)
- Set preferred delivery time
Mobile Notifications
If using MyStudio on mobile:
- Push notifications available
- Same notification types
- Quick actions from lock screen
Enable Push Notifications
- Allow notifications when prompted
- Or enable in your device settings
- Configure which notifications trigger push
Troubleshooting
Not Receiving Notifications?
Check these settings:
- In-app: Make sure you're logged in
- Email: Check spam/junk folder
- Settings: Verify notifications aren't disabled
- Email: Confirm your email address is correct
Too Many Notifications?
- Review notification settings
- Consider enabling digest mode
- Disable less critical notification types
Missing Specific Notifications?
- Check if you have access to that project
- Verify your role permissions
- Contact support if issues persist
