Reviewing Videos

One of MyStudio's most powerful features is the video review system. This guide shows you how to watch, comment, and approve video drafts.

Accessing Review Videos

1. Navigate to your project
2. Click the Review Videos tab
3. Select the video version to review

Video Player Controls

Playback Controls

• Play/Pause - Click the video or press Space
• Timeline - Click or drag to seek
• Volume - Adjust audio level
• Fullscreen - Expand to full screen

Keyboard Shortcuts

← / →	Skip backward/forward 5 seconds
J / L	Skip backward/forward 10 seconds
K	Pause
F	Toggle fullscreen
M	Mute/Unmute

Timeline Markers

Yellow markers on the timeline indicate existing comments:

• Click a marker to jump to that comment
• Comments appear at their specific timecode
• Multiple comments at the same time are stacked

Commenting on Videos

Adding a Timecode Comment

1. Pause the video at the moment you want to comment on
2. The current timecode appears in the comment box
3. Type your feedback
4. Click Post Comment

Your comment will be linked to that specific moment in the video.

Comment Best Practices

Be Specific

Instead of "This looks wrong", say "At 0:45, the logo appears too small on the left side"

Use Timecodes

Always reference the exact time you're discussing so the team knows exactly where to look.

One Topic Per Comment

Keep comments focused on a single issue for clearer communication.

Mentioning Team Members

Use @mentions to notify specific people:

1. Type @ in your comment
2. Start typing a name
3. Select from the dropdown
4. The person will be notified

Replying to Comments

Click Reply under any comment to:

• Continue the conversation
• Provide clarification
• Confirm changes were made

Version Comparison

When multiple versions exist:

Switching Versions

1. Click the version dropdown
2. Select the version you want to view
3. Comments for that version will display

Comparing Versions

1. Click Compare Versions
2. Select two versions to compare
3. View side-by-side with synchronized playback

This helps you verify that requested changes were made.

Approving Videos

When you're satisfied with a video:

To Approve

1. Click the Approve Video button
2. Optionally add a comment
3. Confirm your approval

To Request Revisions

1. Click Request Revisions
2. Provide specific feedback on what needs changing
3. Submit your revision request

The production team will be notified and upload a new version.

Public Review Links

Share videos with external stakeholders:

What is a Public Review Link?

A special URL that allows anyone to:

• Watch the video
• Add comments (optional)
• No login required

Getting a Share Link

1. Click the Share button
2. Configure sharing options:
   • Allow comments (yes/no)
   • Set expiration date
   • Password protect (optional)
3. Copy the generated link

When to Use Public Links

• Getting feedback from clients not in the system
• Sharing with executives for quick approval
• External stakeholder reviews

Mobile Review

MyStudio works on mobile devices:

• Touch-friendly video controls
• Swipe to navigate
• Pull-up comment sheet
• Easy comment input

Review Tips

Before Reviewing

• Find a quiet environment
• Use headphones for audio review
• Set aside uninterrupted time

During Review

• Watch the entire video first
• Take notes on second viewing
• Be constructive and specific

After Review

• Summarize main feedback
• Prioritize changes (must-have vs. nice-to-have)
• Communicate timeline flexibility
